China's first-ever Olympics ended Sunday night with a carnival-themed bash featuring drummers, dancers and even a little Led Zeppelin.

McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds angrily condemned the segment of Madonna's concert in Cardiff on Saturday that appeared to draw a comparison between McCain, Hitler and Zimbabwean strongman Robert Mugabe.

Michelle Obama arrived in Denver on Sunday, accompanied by her daughters, Malia and Sasha, and her mother, Marian Robinson.

"Joe Biden is what so many others pretend to be Ea statesman with sound judgment who doesn't have to hide behind bluster to keep America strong," Obama said, introducing his running mate.
